Regular and chaotic vortex core reversal by a resonant perpendicular magnetic field

摘要

Under the action of an alternating perpendicular magnetic field the polarityof the vortex state nanodisk can be efficiently switched. We predict theregular and chaotic dynamics of the vortex polarity and propose simpleanalytical description in terms of a reduced vortex core model. Conditions forthe controllable polarity switching are analyzed.
